The Teacher Examination Board is planning to conduct the qualifying examination for the current year in the Annual Schedule of the Year to be held in May. Due to court cases, from 2013 to 2016, no qualification has been conducted for 3 years. With the completion of the case, the qualification was conducted in the year 2017 after 3 years interval. Eligibility Testing is valid for 7 years. Approximately 94,000 people have qualified for the job. The teacher's appointment is not only based on the qualifying score. This is followed by the weightage score method. The merit list is prepared for each qualification given the qualification score, plus 2 exam score, graduate degree and BET study score (intermediate teachers as intermediate teacher training courses). It is based on graduate teachers and intermediate teachers.

60% weightage is given to the qualifying examination. Once someone qualifies for the qualification, you can raise the test scores again. 20 years ago there were no high scores in schools and colleges. However, recent years in SSLC, plus 2 examinations and colleges, the old students are affected by the weightage system, so the system has been abandoned and the demand for teachers to be selected based on the eligibility criteria. A committee was set up by the Chief Secretary of the School Education Department to study the matter. The committee's report was presented to the government and the recommendations were reviewed.
